Water pan improvement in Kasigau Wildlife Corridor
The Kasigau Wildlife Corridor is naturally dry, but with climate change, the area has become drier and is experiencing more extended droughts making wildlife's access to water more difficult and their survival riskier.
This project will increase access to water during dry seasons by expanding the Kifaru water pan. Not only do water pans increase wildlife likelihood of survival during drought periods, but they also reduce human-wildlife conflict by keeping the wildlife in areas away from the community.
With this project, you are supporting the team on the ground as they make water pans available to wildlife in Kasigau!
